Battery Life of PT-8100 GPS Tracker With Extended Battery
The PT-8100 Pro Plus is equipped with a robust 10Ah external battery. To provide you with the most accurate location tracking while ensuring battery efficiency, the device is programmed in the following manner:
When in motion:
The device reports its location every 10 seconds.
When stationary:
The device conserves battery life by reporting its location once every 8 hours.
Battery Lifespan in Different Scenarios:
Based on extensive testing and calculations:
Continuous motion:
If the PT-8100 is continuously on the move, the battery will last for approximately 100 hours of driving, transmitting its location every 10 seconds.
Usage examples:
- Driving for 60 minutes (1 hour) a day: With 1 hour of in-motion reporting and 23 hours in stationary mode, the battery will last 100 days (3 months 10 days).
- Driving for 2 hours a day: The battery will report for 2 hours in motion and 22 hours in stationary mode. Even with this extended driving time, you'll still get 50 days (1.5 months) of usage before needing to charge.
Driving for 4 hours a day: The battery will report for 4 hours in motion and 20 hours in stationary mode. Even with this extended driving time, you'll still get 25 days (almost 1 month) of usage before needing to charge.
Please note that battery life can be affected by external factors such as temperature, signal strength, and the age of the device. Always ensure your device is fully charged before long trips or periods of essential tracking.

When you activate your PT-100, you are pro-rated at $1.00 per day for
the first month. On the first of each month, you are billed.
Device Cancellation: Cancel at anytime, by the 25th day of the month.
Reactivation: $19.95
Our devices are NOT sent out activated, and you will not be billed for
service until you are ready to activate them.
